The
Commonwealth Education Fund (CEF) is an innovative education partnership
delivered by three leading international development organisations:
ActionAid, Oxfam GB and Save the Children UK. The CEF project will
run from 2002-2008. The CEF project promotes free primary education for all children. CEF gives advice and funding to education groups in 16 Commonwealth countries. These groups work independently or together as a national coalition to identify and act on the problems that stop children from attending school. | Recent research commissioned by CEF explored how to sustain funding and support for education coalitions. The research resulted in the publication of one report, Funding Change, and one toolkit, Driving the Bus. CEF has also written a briefing paper on the concept of national Civil Society Education Funds (CSEFs). These publications are now available for download by clicking the icons below.
