Cameroon

CEF Cameroon held a coalition building workshop and forum in Yaoundé in February 2003. Forty-nine local level NGOs participated along with representatives from the Education for All Permanent Autonomous Technical Unit (PATU), the British Council, UNESCO and the Africa Network Campaign on Education for All (ANCEFA). The workshop helped to build an understanding of the EFA process, led to the establishment of a civil society coalition working on education, and developed government-civil society links and partnerships.

A three-page summary of CEF Cameroon can be found on pages 19-21 of the Commonwealth Education Fund: Final Report (2009)

This final project report is based on external end of project evaluations (EPEs) of CEF conducted within the 16 CEF project countries and provides short profiles of each country and regional organisation CEF supported. It also draws on a global CEF final evaluation conducted for CEF and the Department for International Development (DFID) by Eric Woods, an independent consultant, and includes a chapter on lessons learned from his report.
